Henry Earl Coats, age 94. Sunrise July 1, 1922 and Sunset June 20, 2017. Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant. A former Chaplain of the Retired Armed Forces Association

Preceded in death by father, John Coats; mother, Bertha Lee Thomas-Coats; maternal grandparents; brothers; Lindsay and Charlie Coats, and sister, Arletha Coats-Harper.

Left to cherish his memory, his best friend and devoted wife of 23 1/2 years, Patricia L. Coats; children, Marc Dentley, Lloyd W. Black III, Renee Black; grandchildren, Deborah Dentley, Jovannah Dentley; grandson, Jerome L. Lacey; sister-in-laws, Phyllis Grice, Peggy Lee, Glenda Perry, Deborah Brown; brother-in-law, Larry Perry; loving and special cousin, Ollie Miree and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Christ Memorial Missionary Baptist Church 3330 E. Livingston Avenue.

Interment at Dayton National Cemetery.
