My prayers go out to Shirley and your family. I attend church at Poplar Ridge Friends meeting with Shirley and Gary. Even though I did not know you very long, I enjoyed the lunches we had at Faye's after church and talking with you. God bless.
I know Gary wasn't my real father, but I loved him as if he were. I respected this man. I will miss you dearly.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember him as a great man who always had time for us kids, and loved to laugh. I didn't know he was from Newport News, that is right here in my area. I will keep you all in my prayers, may God be with you during this time.
