Candice Jean Rowena Patrick, affectionately known as Candy, was born on December 27, 1955 in Columbus, OH to the late Nimrod and Christine Reese.  She graduated from South High School in 1973. She also attended Ohio University in Athens, OH before enlisting in the United States Army where she served as a Military Police Officer.

Candy was a homemaker most of her life, but she also worked for Columbus City Schools for a number of years. She was a member of the Faith Clinic Community Church.

Candy was preceded in death by her parents Nimrod and Christine Reese, brothers Christopher J. Reese and Edward Reese.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 30 years James Walter “Bud” Patrick; brothers, Nimrod Reese Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, Douglas Reese of Atlanta, GA, and Ricky (Remy) Reese of Columbus, OH; sisters, Charlene Chambers and Ellen Chambers both of Los Angeles, CA, Elizabeth “Libby” Reese and Jane Reese both of Columbus, OH; sons, Mark (Annie Morris) Patrick and Alexander Patrick; daughters, Debbie Rivera Patrick, Olivia (Raymond Hatcher) Patrick, and Candice (Christopher) Patrick Williams all of Columbus, OH;. Uncles, Gene (Lavon) Reese and David (Doris) Lucas both of Columbus, OH; thirteen grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Candy was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved to travel, read Danielle Steel novels, make donations to the Kidney Foundation, and spend time with her grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her kind spirit, giving heart, and dedication to her family.

Visitation 11:00am and Home Going Service 12:00 noon Thursday January 15, 2015 at Grace New Covenant Apostolic Church 1643 Aberdeen Ave.  Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
