Carol Ann Rivers, 74. Sunrise January 7, 1939 in Cleveland, OH and Sunset January 19, 2013 in Columbus, OH. Carol was a retired Guidance Counselor with Columbus City Schools. She was a member of AKA Sorority, TWIGS, the National Alliance of Black School Educators and New Journey Christian Ministries where she served with the Deaconess Board and Missionary Society. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Elsie Thomas, sister Emma (Perry) Harvey, brother Melvin Thomas and sister Rachel (James) Gay. Left to cherish her memory, daughter Stefanie (James) Rivers Morgan, son Lorin (Sandra) Rivers, sisters Delores (Wavey) Junior and Susan ______________________, brother Benjamin (Dawn) Thomas, grandchildren Lorin Xavier Rivers, Kiara Rivers Morgan, Elijah Rivers Morgan, Matthew Rivers Morgan and Jacobi Rivers Morgan and a host of other family and friends.

    Ms. Rivers was our counselor when our family was experiencing turmoil through divorce and a custody battle. She was the kindest, most intuitive person I know and we loved her like a real family member. She was so classy and such an entrepreneur. We count her as a blessing from God. We loved her and will miss her.

  6. Wow, is all I can say seeing Mrs Rivers face again. She was so special to me when I was a child. She was always kind and understanding when I was facing problems at home I will always remember her!
