Carolyn Denise Berkley, age 56. Sunrise December 9, 1959 in Louisville, KY and Sunset July 18, 2016 in Columbus, OH. Carolyn earned her Bachelors Degree in Business at The Ohio State University. She was the Founder and Superintendent of A+ Arts Academy. Carolyn was a member of Christ Memorial Baptist Church where she served with the Deaconess Board, Thesbian Guild and Deborah Missionary Society. She was preceded in death by her parents Jake Brown Sr. and Thelma Jean Simpson and daughter Keesha Lemons. Left to cherish her memory, husband Morris E. Berkley, daughters Kymberly R. (James) Rhodes, Marsha L. Berkley, Te-Onda M. Bumphus, and Krystal N. Berkley, brothers Charles Simpson, Brian Simpson, and Jake Brown Jr., sister Constance Simpson, 8 grandchildren, Godmother Janie Hagwood, Goddaughter Ashley Suber, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted children and friends. Visitation Sunday July 24, 2016 6-8pm at Christ Memorial Baptist Church 3330 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH; additional Visitation 10:00am and Home Going Service 11:00am Monday July 25, 2016 at New Birth Christian Ministries 3475 Refugee Rd., Columbus, OH.  Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.
