Charles Martez Thomas, age 25, of Columbus, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on November 18, 2014. Charles was born to the late Rodriccos A. Williams, Sr. and Rhonda L. Thomas on February 24, 1989. Charles, also known as Charlie and Martez, was deeply loved by all and cherished every individual relationship he had, especially his unconditional relationship with his grandfather and confidant, Robert K. Thomas.
Charles’ greatest love was God and he accepted Christ as his personal savior as a young boy. Family was everything to Charles; he embraced all family time with tons of love and laughter. He was a funny guy who adored seeing everyone around him having a good time.
Charles graduated from Westerville North High School in 2007. With a passion for music from a young age, Charles began an entertainment career and founded a label called GQ City Records in 2004 with his cousin, De’Ron Thomas, and friend, Rolando Lopez. He then became known as Charles Lucasze.
Charles’ music career gave him various levels of experience and exposed him to writing, performing, traveling and meeting a variety of entertainers in the Hip Hop industry such as his mentor, The Legendary Mix Master Ice ,who taught and worked with him from the beginning, and Compton Menace of #MHG Money Hogs. Compton Menace introduced Charles to the BlackWall Street record label of businessman, actor and rapper, The Game. After meeting The Game, Charles became an Ohio Representative for BlackWall Street. Charles met Jason Gold of Trend Settah/Splitarillos, manager of Compton Menace, and was soon employed with Trend Settah as the Sales Distributor for the State of Ohio. Most recently, Charles was scheduled to tour with Compton Menace in 2015.
Charles was preceded in death by his son, Armani Martez Thomas, his father, Rodriccos A. Williams Sr. and his little brother, Jordan Townsend.
Charles leaves to cherish his mother, Rhonda L. Thomas; a daughter, Milania Amari Thomas; grandparents, Robert and Lillie Thomas, Michael Williams and Florencia Walker; brothers, Jaylon and Christopher Thomas and Rodriccos A. Williams, Jr.; sisters, Kishara and Tyler Thomas, Mayida Williams and Krystal Collins; and many more siblings; his two favorite aunts, Sonja Thomas and Leslita Williams; uncles, Brian Johnson and Shaveh Williams; a loving significant other and mother of his children, Jasmine Alicea; his favorite cousins, De’Ron and Kirstyn Thomas and Maurice and Chanz Bennett; great Aunt, Gertrude Payton; nieces, Amaya and Kennedy Cameron; best friend forever, B.J. Cunningham; and an abundance of family and close friends.
We in turn cherish him and will find comfort in all our past memories shared with Charles.
2 Timothy 4:6-8
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course. I have kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteousness judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Condolence Messages

  1. Im sending. My love ❤ and prayers to the Thomas family.

  2. Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. This is one of the most difficult things we must face in this life. May it comfort you to know that others are deeply touched by your loss. But the bible assures us at Psalms 34:18 that God is near to those broken in heart and those crushed in spirit he saves. He also promises that we will be able to see our loved ones again. Jesus own words found at John 5:28,29 tells us there will be a resurrection. What a wonderful hope! He also promises that soon on the earth there will be no more pain, suffering and especially death. Revelation 21:3-5 We anxiously await the day when we will no longer lose those we love. May these bible thoughts bring you comfort at this most difficult time.

  3. May God comfort you in the days ahead. So sorry for your loss.

  5. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you nephew. I miss you so much but knowing you are at peace eases my heart. Every thing around me reminds me of you so I know that you are here with me. I loved you then, I love you now and I forever love you!!! In your famous words “ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT” and that was way before Kevin Hart 🙂

  6. Well it has been a year now Marty and not a second goes by that I don’t think of you. I know being with our Father is much better than being here and if you had a choice to come back you would say no and I don’t blame you as because I hear how beautiful it is and I myself look forward to coming home to glory with you and Our Father. Not too much has changed since you left and I know you see it all and say “OH GOSH, lol” but we are working on it and prayfully soon you will have the family together as you always wanted. Sometimes I think any second now Marty is about to walk in the door saying “what’s up Sal, lol” and plant a kiss on my cheek like you always did that’s just how bad it is to believe that you really have gone home. I love you then, love you now and love you forever. #LongLivesLucasze #GQCityRecords#1fan
