Chris L. Cartlidge was born on October 2, 1969 in Toledo, Ohio to Matilda Cartlidge. He passed from this life on Sunday August 9, 2015; He was preceded in death by his mother Matilda Cartlidge.

Chris accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church. He attended St. John’s High School and in 1988 graduated from Jesup W. Scott High School. Chris enjoyed boating, fishing, ice fishing and spending time with his children, family and friends; he was the life of the party! Chris was honorably discharged from the United States Navy; he was a Veteran as well as a Mason.   He worked with Local #886 as a cement mason and as a laborer with Local 500 for many years.

Chris leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Brittney, Christina and Courtney Cartlidge.   Special sister Betty J. Bostic, sister Vallory Cannon, brother Desmond Cartlidge, God-brother Sean (DeLise) Simmons, aunt Ruby Smith, special cousins Calvin Jenkins and Jernita Sessoms and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

All those people you introduced to me are still my friends and very trusted know up there you and my belated son Ryan will be watchiing this NFL season on the best tv screen in existance:GOD’S tv.
