Deacon Curley McDonald Jr. age 76, sunrise April 14, 1939 in Laurel, Mississippi and sunset May 6, 2015 at Grant Medical Center.  He is preceded in death by parents Curley Sr. and Hattie (Page) McDonald, wife Joan McDonald, and sisters Maxine Hollman and Earnestine McDonald.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving, caring, and devoted wife, Gail D. McDonald, mother Pauline McDonald, daughter Maiharriese Wooden, son, Terry E. McDonald, granddaughters Indiarriese McDonald, and Katrina Wooden, great granddaughter Somorah Wooden.  He is survived by siblings Albert (Samella) McDonald, Columbus, OH; Lillian Scott, Chula Vista, CA; James Allen (Diane) McDonald, Pittsburgh, CA; Betty (Eugene) Foster, San Diego, CA; Harry and Larry McDonald, Lima, OH; Diane (Rev. Raymond) Taylor, San Diego, CA; and Linda Hershey, San Diego, CA; 3 brothers-in-law, 5 sisters-in-law, 6 godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Homegoing service 10:00am Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 720 Mount Vernon Ave where the family will receive friends from 9:00am until time of service. Rev. Otha Gilyard officiating.  Internment Glen Rest Memorial Estate. Arrangements entrusted to the Marlan J. Gary Funeral Home, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
