Dennis L. Porter II “Denny” of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 in his residence. He was born July 11, 1955, son of Dennis L. Porter, deceased and Ruth Porter. He was a member of Trinity AME Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth Porter, four children Dennis L. III, Denise, and Latrina Porter all of Springfield and Aaron Porter of Evansville, Indiana. He also has several grandchildren, brother in law Darryl Bailey, three nephews, Michael, Brook and Chris Bailey, several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins, two aunts, Eleanor Warfield and Mary Gray, his caretaker Harold (Chadz) Woods of Dayton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis L. Porter and sister, Denice Porter Bailey.
My sincerest condolences to the Porter family upon the loss of your son, father and grandfather. May God grant you each the strength and peace to live every day despite your sorrow. Dennis was a year behind me and Denise was a classmate of mine though Springfield is 40+ years behind me. God bless you
