Condolence Messages

  1. To: The Long Family.
Please accept my condolences. May you find comfort in God’s word the Bible. At Isaiah 25:8 And he will swallow up death forever.” Our God has made loving provisions to remove suffering and death from us forever.
May the hope and promises in this Scripture bring you comfort and strength to endure the difficult days ahead.

there are no words to express the depth of sorrow I am experiencing at this moment. I take solace in the fact that I KNOW YOU KNOW THE LORD and received Holy Communion…I gave it to you myself! To say you are missed is a given, to say you ARE loved is a fact. NEVER NEVER can say goodbye…see you IN THE MORNING!!!!!

  6. Elder Terrance D. Garr

    To the Long Family,

Our paths crossed and then crisscrossed and finally they intertwined, bringing us together as more than friends but also extended family. Deron was one of my other sons and his brilliant smile, his quick wit endeared him to me. I can only imagine the pain you are going through at this time and pray that God will continue to wrap His loving and comforting arms around you. I pray that after all is said and done that the memories and the love you shared with Deron will bring you peace! The Lord is the strength of your life and your light and salvation! He will lead you beside the still waters and let you rest in the green pastures! I love you and will be in prayer for you in the days ahead!

  10. To the Long Family and Deron’s Mother:

On behalf of my wife and I, we offer our sincerest condolences. My wife and I had the great pleasure of working with Deron at the Ohio Avenue Youth Center. While we only spent two years working with Deron, we will forever remember his kind demeanor, sense of humor, thirst for knowledge and love of playing basketball. Deron had such a confident way about him, and his lead-by-example style was infectious. May your family find peace during this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all now and forever.

    Sincerely,

    Nick and Khadijah Jones
