I am saddened for your loss of Eddie. I played a couple of seasons with Ed in the minor leagues and though it was some 35 years ago I still fondly remember his great smile.
May the great memories of his life warm you and may God bless you all.

  9. I played baseball with Eddie in Nashville in 1979. He was a great teammate. His energy was contagious. I am grateful he was part of my life. May the peace of God and our hope in Christ encourage and sustain your family as you go through this time of grief.

I met Eddie on one of the best days of his life: January 1,1986, the day his daughter was born at Cincinnati Jewish Hospital. If you thought Eddie had a large everyday smile you should have seen him when his daughter was born. My wife and Eddies wife were neck and neck to see who would deliver the first baby of the year at Jewish Hospital. The nurse gave me scrubs and told me cmon Dad you are going to miss it. She dragged me into the delivery room and I started looking around and notice I was in with Eddie and his wife and soon to be daughter. I started to leave but I am only going to see this happen one more time and I could blame that nurse that dragged me into there. When their baby was delivered I got myself out of there. My wife went into delivery a few minutes ladder, they had the same doctor. We had a shared room until the pediatricians could check the babies out. My baby died and was brought back to life by the Milner pediatrician. I think of you and your family every January 1st. Rest In Peace Eddie
