Elder Michael D. Dunlap I

Elder Michael Dean Dunlap was born August 29, 1968 and joined Elder Jessie James
Dunlap and Olivia Dunlap (Jacob) in Cleveland, Ohio. Michael departed his
earthly home on September 27, 2013 in Columbus, Ohio. Michael affectionately
known as Mike graduated from Cleveland Heights High School. He worked as a
truck driver throughout his adult life.

Michael was saved at a early age at Christ Temple Apostle Church of God in
Cleveland, Ohio. He served as a Armor Bearer at Bishop Ellis in Cleveland,
Ohio. He then went to The Word Church were Elder Parker was the Pastor and he
followed him to Columbus and helped founded The Word of Columbus. His love for
God grew and he took on the responsibility of Elder in the church of God in
Christ as was ordained July 20, 2001. Michael was a member of several churches
Everywhere he went shared the Word of God. At his death he was a member of
Tri Stone Missionary Baptist, Bishop Ross. Even as his health failed him, he
was faithful and would continue to come to church and worship God.

If you know Michael you also know that he loved good food. He would eat
everything he was not suppose to. Some of his fondest memories were of his
mother cooking sweet potatoe pies. He faithfully served his ailing mother with
visits and phone calls until she passed into the arms of God. Sitting and
talking to Michael was a wonderful experience. He could really make you laugh.

Michael has a wonderful family and church family in Columbus and Cleveland. He
has a wonderfully blessed son, Michael Dean Dunlap II whom he loved and was very
proud. He leaves daughter Marliese Hunter and lovely granddaughter Mieley
Hunter Walker. He also leaves Toska Dunlap who served as a devoted wife for
many years, even after divorcing she continued to be obedient to God, by
showing love, and concern and being a wonderful mother to the children.

Michael has friends who have stuck with him through thick and thin, through it
all they have been there; Michael and Tamara Mayfield, Pastor Lamar Scales and
Elliott from Cleveland. He also loved and respected Mother Willie Wright from
Cleveland.

Both Michael's parents preceded him in death along with his nephew Chris R.
Jordan. He leaves a loving sister Vanessa Dunlap-Jordan, brother Santez and
Jonathan Dunlap. He leaves Aunt Julia and Uncle Floyd McCutcheon, he loved Aunt
Julia's peach cobbler. Also Aunt Flora from Columbus who he love to traffic to
Cleveland with.He also leaves a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.
