Ethel L. Surry, 88, sunrise April 20, 1920 – sunset October 8, 2008 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born in Albany, Georgia to the late Richmond and Sylvia Gammage Fields. She was a long time and faithful member of the Greater Apostolic Faith Church in Warren, Ohio where she served with the Church Mothers and sang with the Golden Agers. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ashley Surry and sixteen siblings. Mrs. Surry is survived by her son Paul (Anna) Seals of Columbus, Ohio; sister Dorothy Hollis of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren Robert Seals, Marlin Seals, DeeAnn Lynn Davis, and Eugenia (Darren)McMillion all of Columbus, Ohio; eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of other family and friends.

To the family of our dearly departed Mother Surry. I shall miss the sweet disposition of Mother Surry. She had a sweet and quiet disposition. And always a kind and comforting greeting to share. She never hesitated to express her Love for God whenever she was given the opportunity. Our prayers and sympathy along with our Love go out to the family. Please give our deepest sympathies to the family of Ethel Surry. We came to know her at Community Skilled Nursing Home in Warren where she shared the room of Marjorie James. Mrs. Surry was very kind to our family and we always looked forward to her sweet smile when coming to visit. We all miss her and are thinking of your family and keeping you in our prayers.
