Gwendolyn Dobbs-Poole was born December13, 1964 to the loving parents Leroy J. Berry Sr. (Deceased) and Maxine Dobbs-Berry. She departed this life on Sunday, July 12, 2015, at the age of 50 at home.

 

Gwen was the eldest of five children. She attended grade school at Poinsett Elementary and graduated from Monroe High School in Cocoa, Florida. Gwen was determined to be successful in obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree in Employee Assistance May 2002 from Franklin University. She also obtained her Masters of Arts Degree in Education June 2012 from Ashford University.

 

Gwen was employed at Franklin University in the Department of Human Resources where she met her husband Kenneth Poole. Gwen was also employed at Columbus School of Art and Design and Alliance Data in the area of Human Resources.

 

Gwen grew up in the True Church of Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith were she was introduced to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As Gwen grew she also grew in Christ. Gwen loved the Lord and became a member of Vineyard Church. There she volunteered in the Nursery Department.

 

Gwen’s love and presence will be forever missed. She was preceded in death by her great grandmother Bertha Smith, grandfathers Fred Ellis Dobbs and Lawyer Berry, grandmothers Pallie Venora Dobbs and Willie Mae Berry, brother Sean Dion Berry, father Leroy J. Berry Sr. She leaves to honor her memory her husband Kenneth Poole, mother, Maxine Dobbs-Berry, brother, Leroy J. (Rainy) Berry Jr. ( Moultrie, Georgia), sisters, Ginger Deneen Berry, Cherish Venora Berry, Torie Jackson (Cocoa, Florida) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A very special and devoted friend LaShaye M. Floyd.

 

Visitation 11am and Funeral 12:00 noon Monday July 20, 2015 at Vineyard Church 6000 Cooper Rd. Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J.
