James Herald Davis Jr., age 68. Sunrise March 22, 1948 in Glen Jean, WV and Sunset August 7, 2016 in Columbus, OH. James was a faithful member of Mt. Geeizim Baptist Church and was a retired accountant at Wilson Trucking. He was preceded in death by his parents James Davis Sr., and Dallas Burton, stepmother Willie Mae Davis, sister Doris Redd, and nephew Dion Loving. Left to cherish his memory, wife Cynthia Davis, son Brian (Cartelius) Travis, brothers Jerry (Sharon) Davis, Michael (Olga) Loving, and Louis (Andrea) Loving, sisters Mae Dawson, Melanie Davis, Karen (Tracy) Rudolph and Ellen Gray, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Saturday August 13, 2016 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE 2500 Cleveland Ave.

I’m condolences to the family. God keep each of you strong during this time.
Remember there is no sorrow on Earth that Heaven can not heal. Let not your hearts be troubled. He is in a better place. No more sorrow, no more pain, no more sickness, nothing but peace, nothing but joy. We will miss him and I know you are feeling sad right now, but feast on all the good memories and joy he brought while he was here. God will wipe away all tears. Praying for the family.
Nothing in this world can bring back the smiles and goofyness that my uncle brought as we were younger. He loved his family. For my family remember all of the good times we had with all who has had their homecoming. Rejoyce for they suffer no more.
