Jenelle L. Brown Was born to Corrine Cartwright and Othello Berry on November 29, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio. At the age of 51, on May 6, 2014 she passed at Kobacker House surrounded with family and friends.

Jenelle was baptized in 1996, and became a faithful member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (Columbus, Ohio) under the pastorate of Dr. G. Thomas Turner, Sr. She was a diligent member of the Smith-Simmons Scholarship Ministry and was once a matron for the Drill Team Ministry. Jenelle loved the Lord and was faithful to daily scripture reading and The Daily Bread devotionals every morning. Jenelle was a loving and devoted mother.

Jenelle was affectionately known for her cooking, giving back to the community and lending a helping hand. Jenelle's advice was highly sought after.

Jenelle was a product of the Columbus City School System and graduated from Walnut Ridge High School in 1980. Jenelle was an employee of St. Vincent Family Center as well as Maryhaven.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Andrew and Dorothy Brown, and uncle, William Michael Brown.

She leaves to cherish her memory, son Donté Brown (Fiancé Yolunda Hunt); mother, Corrine (Samuel) Cartwright , father, Othello (Patsy) Berry; siblings, Sheila Jordan, Ronald Price, Judah (Nicole) Cartwright, Rachel (LaWarren) Taylor, Kaliph Washington, and William (Michelle) Abram, uncles Andrew Brown, James (Mary) Brown, LeRoy (Dorothy) Brown and William Berry; special cousins, Comekco Kenney, Craig (Erica) Kenney and Debbie Ragland; special friends, Frank and Lola Edwards, The Walton Family, Donald and Rochelle Hutchinson; Godchildren, Stuart Hampton Jr., Nichol Hampton and Deja Harden and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
