Jessie N. Wilks, 77. Sunrise June 12, 1932 – Sunset April 9, 2010. A retiree of Mt. Carmel West Hospital where she worked in Sterile Processing and a member of Greater Ebenezer Cathedral of praise where she served in the Choir, Usher and Missionary Ministries. Jessie was preceded in death by her father Napoleon Thompson, husband Willie Wilks, grandmother Edith Aikens, daughter Barbara Ann Wilks Nowlin, son Michael C. Wilks Sr., sister Verdell Pelmore and brothers Roosevelt and Hercules Thompson. Left to cherish her memory, mother Annie Mae Thompson, daughters Annie (Luther) Stewart, Vannessa (Robert) Gilbert, and Yvette Wilks, sons W. David Wilks, Ronald (Shari) Wilks and Donald (Monica) Wilks, sisters Edith Moreland, Angelina (John) Reed, Queenie (Anthony) Griffin, Elaine (Rev. Leroy) Curry and Shirley Battle, brothers Harold Thompson, Edgar (Frances) Thompson and Napoleon (Gloria) Thompson, 21 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
