John Michael Sanders, was born February 2, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Marshall Lee and Wilma Tatum Sanders Sr. John departed this life on September 5, 2015 in Atlanta, GA. John graduated from Beechcroft High School, and received a basketball scholarship at Oklahoma State and Ohio University. He owned Mackis Cleaning & Janitorial Service. He was a member of Triedstone Baptist Church under Pastor Charles T. Robinson and Bishop Jerome H. Ross Sr. While in Atlanta he attended various churches in the College Park area. John was preceded in death by his parents, sister Rose Marie Sanders and niece Traci Williams. Left to cherish his memory, sisters Carolyn (Lloyd) Williams and Shirley (Kenneth) Langhorn, brothers James Sanders, Robert (Faye) Sanders, Marshall (Debbie) Sanders Jr and Charles E. Sanders, special cousins James and Jerry Tatum, former wife Ginger Frazier and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation 9:00am and Funeral 10:00am Thursday September 10, 2015 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE 2500 Cleveland Ave. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery.

My last words to my John Michael” (poopie” is what we called each other) as he left home for work was ” see you in the morning honey I love you”. This world has lost a kind, loving, gentle man who can never be replaced. He always said “it aint but one John Michael” and he was right. I will sincerely miss my best friend my love and my soul mate, I will forever cherish our time together. He can rest now his run is over

    • Hello. I feel like no one will read this. But I want to reach out to someone who knew John. He was my father. My mother is Sherry Simpson. I just want some type of family to actually get a picture please.
