Wilson Family – it is with my deepest sympathy that I send you prayers and best wishes at your loss. I have known John for only 4 years since joining The Golf Club at Little Turtle. As a new member John was one of the first members of our group called “The Grey Berets” to welcome me. We became friends immediately and discussed everything from golf to politics to family. I considered it a privilege to be asked by John to be in his group. We both complimented each other’s game and when asked I gave him suggestions to better his game. I’m proud to say I saw him play some of his best rounds of golf. He often reflected back on his life, his love of his family and his original St. Louis beginnings. I will think of him often and hope he is playing the best courses that the good Lord has in Heaven. RIP John!

I had some of the best times of my life bantering with Johnny on Wednesday nights after the men’s mixer. I always enjoyed playing golf with him. Way too many good stories to put in writing.

I considered him a good friend and he will be missed.

To the Wilson family-
I offer my sincere condolences to you all. God bless Mr. Wilson , and his deeply cherished loved ones are in my prayers. I didn’t know him well, but he had a profound impact on my outlook, and was a brilliant example of how to positively serve the community. Knowing him even briefly, was gift.

Karen and family,
I was out-of-town and unable to attend John’s funeral. I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy for your loss. I always enjoyed being paired with John for our Grey Beret outings. Not only did I occasionally receive a helpful golfing tip but where else could one play a round and enjoy a concert at the same time! I will miss John. Nancy and I wish you and yours the very best at this extremely difficult time.

I had wondered what happened to him as I only met him once when our father died. May he R.I.P.!!!
