Jordan G. Martin was born September 26, 1999. He departed this life on Monday, July 17, 2017, at the age of 17 years and 10 months.
He attended Columbus Public Schools and Youth Build. He attended Church of Christ of Apostolic Faith and Grace New Covenant. Jordan was a very likeable child, he would always smile. That smile made him special with people. He spent time with the youth at the Milo Grogan Boys and Girls Club. Jordan love to play basketball and video games.
Jordan was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ruth Martin and Deborah Lyons; and grandfather, Bernard Simms.
He leaves to cherish his memory, father, Gregory Martin; mothers, Tabitha Ward and Emma Simms (who raised him from infancy); daughter, Sha’nia Martin; brothers, Devinta Lyons, Jonah Lyons, Gilbert Abbington, and Jamual Simms; sisters, Sinyle Simms, Michelle White, Aaliyah Lyons, Jacqueline (James) Abbington-Bing, and Crystal (Ron) Carson; special cousins, James Dunlap, Ronald Carson Jr., Shawn Rice, Aaron Rice, and Tiffany Rice; special friends, Anthony Johnston, Amanda McCoy and Jamira; the mother of child, Shar’da Johnson; special aunt, Towanda Martin; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Jordan will be missed by all.
Visitation 11:00 a.m. Funeral 12:00 p.m. Tuesday July 25, 2017 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
