A time to be born: Karla E. Marable Canada was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on January 12, 1962 to the late James and W. Marable and Gertrude Marable. She attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from Marion-Franklin High School in 1980.

 

A time to give services: She professed a hope in Christ at an early age with Southfield Community Baptist Church.

 

A flight of a lifetime: Karla departed this life early Saturday morning, January 31, 2015. She touched the lives of many who will forever cherish her love. She is cherished by three loving and devoted children, Vincent Lemar Canada, Rashanda Lynn Canada and Charles Morgan, a very devoted, loving and caring mother Gertrude Marable, two loving devoted brothers Anthony W. (Janice), and Donald A. (Kim) Marable, two loving devoted siters Barbara L. Brown and Janice R. Cunningham, tow beautiful grandchildren Tyala Canada and Montrell Crawford, Jr. all of Columbus, Ohio, four uncles Bobby R. Ellis, Jimmy Marable both of Columbus, OH, John D. Billard and Frank Henry Marable of Murfreesboro, TN, four aunts Bessie Brown of Nashville, TN, Thenartis Ellis, Diane L. Floyd and Wuateen F. Puckett of Murfreesboro, Tn, nine nephews, five nieces, and a host of great nephews, great nieces, cousins , other family members and friends. Karla was preceded in death by grandparents James and Nannie Louise Marable, and Frank and Addie Puckett, father James W. Marable Jr., uncles Thomas Ellis and Jessie Ellis, and nephew Dana Marable.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am  Friday February 6, 2015 at New Birth Christian Ministries 3475 Refugee Rd. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

    My sincere condolences to the Marable/Canada Family for the loss of one of gods angles. I lived next door to the Marable Family and grew up with Karla as if she was one of my sister’s. She will be deeply missed.
