  6. I met Karrington less than two months ago at CSG during an improv class I was teaching for Mrs. Davis. I was struck by her kindness, smile and sense of humor. I enjoyed her company and being in her presence. She made an impression on me. I was delighted to share the hour with Karrington and her classmates. When I heard the news I was struck with sadness. Her smile flashed before my eyes. I send my prayers and sympathy. I am so deeply saddened by the loss of Karrington. May you have comfort in knowing what a wonderful young woman she was. I am so sorry.

  13. Tasheika Campbell

Karrington was a beautiful young lady inside and out. I often saw her as a quite and respectful youth with a big smile. Even though I saw her grow in the Church, I begin to know her personally when she worked with me one summer. I was able to see her passion, her drive, and her love for the Lord.

The day of her passing, I received that big smile once again. Our girls were very saddened and they remembered Karrington helping them during summer camp and entertaining them while I worked.

We are so sorry and heart broken, until that Great Day! To the Hanks family our hearts and prayers are with you. Thank you, Tarshalla for sharing her with us, you’ve raised a beautiful God fearing young lady.

    Dear Karrington Hanks Family
Please know that we here at Oakwood grieve the loss of Karrington to your family and wish you only God’s peace through this valley of shadows. We were eager to have Karrington enroll as a student here at Oakwood in the fall, but God allowed another plan. With you and her loving family, we will look to meet her in heaven, where together we will study the marvels of His amazing and matchless grace, even if we do not understand it at this moment. Our prayers are with you, today, and in the years to come. Karrington, rest In peace until the Lifegiver comes. Maranatha!!!

    To Tarshalla and Family:
Your family is in our prayers at this time. The bible says “train up a child in the way he should go” and you have obeyed. He is pleased with Karrington’s life and she will be missed but rest in knowing you will see her again when Jesus comes.
    Prayerfully,
    Pam Saunders and Family

  31. Dear Hanks and Stevens family, May the good Lord surround your hearts with overwhelming peace even in the midst of this horrible storm. His promise is that it’s not a “goodbye” for Karrington, but a “see you soon”…..Soon and very soon!! God bless and keep you til then.

    Love, Kim

  32. To the family of Karrington, you have my deepest sympathy in your loss. The death of a child is truly difficult for a parent to face. Have faith in God’s promise at Isaiah 25:8 which says in part, “He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.”

  33. My heartfelt sympathy to each of you .  No other pain will ever be greater than the pain of  losing a child. Our heavenly Father knows the difficulities you are facing. Through his Word he helps us to understand why death occurs and what he will in the near future do to rectify the grief that we undergo due to losing our loved ones to this aged-old-enemy (death).

    Isaiah 25:8
    John 5:28,29
    Psalms 37:29
