Kipp Jacmel Johnson

Kipp Jacmel Johnson was born on May 23, 1987 at 6:27 a.m. at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio to Samantha Johnson and Kipp Grier. Kipp was an energetic and happy child who was full of love and affection. He quickly became the center of his family’s attention and could frequently be found hanging out with his Grandpa who affectionately nicknamed him “Bubba.” When he wasn’t with Grandpa, Grandma got her time to spoil and feed him the multiple course French meals he grew to love. “Kippie” was the name that Grandma gave him, and it fit him well. Kipp grew to become a caring, loving, inquisitive and resourceful young man who could light up the room with his smile. He consistently asked questions to whomever would answer. Growing up proved to be a learning experience for everyone, not just Kipp. He developed a knack for anything with a motor. He loved tinkering on bikes, motorcycles, and cars. He was a quick learner who was very proud of his work. His mother, stepfather and his father taught him many lessons on life. It was at this time Kipp really learned the value of family. As a result, he grew into a very caring son, nephew, brother, grandson, and eventually a father. Kipp was a very patient, loving and nurturing dad to his only son. He was a fine young man who his family became very proud of.Kipp was called home on June 6, 2014, entirely too soon for those who knew and loved him. Although we will miss him dearly, and we are sad that he is gone, we can rest assured that he is in a comfortable place. Heaven has gained another guardian angel who is watching over us all…… Kipp is once again hanging with his grandpa, listening to his stories…….and most likely, still asking questions.

Kipp was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Thomas L. Johnson, and his paternal grandmother, Saundra Toni Grier.
Left to cherish his memories are, fiancé, Thien Ly (Jasmine), son, Kipp Nguyen Ly Johnson, parents, Samantha and Charles Carr, Kipp (Robin) Grier, sisters, Ashley (Tommy) Daniels, and Brittany Carr. Brothers, Thomas Carr, Charles (India) Carr IV, Zell Neal, Ari Cooper, Ryan Holliman, Nico Grier, Cavon Stillwell, and Jiani Grier, grandparents, Renee Johnson, Jerome and Naida Cephas, Charles (Erena) Carr Jr., and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.
