Lena Marie Mullins, age 38. Sunrise September 19, 1976 and Sunset July 21, 2015. Lena was a 1994 graduate of Eastmoor High School, earned her Associates Degree at Columbus State, a Bachelors of Science and Masters in Business Administration at Franklin University and Masters in Public Administration at Waldon University. She worked at the State of Ohio and was a member of Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies where served with the Agape Mass Choir, Pretty in Pink Cancer Support Ministry, as a mentor with The Little Diamonds. Lena was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents George and Lena Burrell and paternal grandparents James and Mary Lee Mullins. Left to cherish her memory, parents Glenn O. and Susan M. Mullins, sisters Christina A. (Robert) Taylor and Latasha L. Mullins (Sherman Mattox), nephew Jayvon M. Rogers, boyfriend Byron Jones, best friend Mara Wheeler, special aunt Ruth Merritt, uncle Ronald Burrell, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation 6:00pm and Home Going Service 7:00pm Sunday July 26, 2015 at Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies 870 St. Clair Ave. Interment 10:00am Monday at Glen Rest Memorial Estates. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE 2500 Cleveland Ave.

  6. Dear family…I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Lena will be missed by family and friends, but she will not be forgotten by our heavenly father. We often wonder can the dead really live again. Jesus’ words found at (John 5:28,29) says that there will be a resurrection. This means that Lena will be given a fresh new start with the prospect of living forever. (Psalms 37:29) I hope this will bring comfort knowing that you have an opportunity to see her again to share more wonderful times together.
