Marion Cornelia Hall, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, joined her beloved husband, Fred Hall, Jr., in heaven on Monday, August 31, 2009, at Traditions at Stygler in Gahanna, Ohio.

She was born on May 12, 1925, in Manteo, Roanoke Island, North Carolina, the daughter of George Washington and Lydia Ann (Collins) Pledger. She married her soul mate, Fred Hall, Jr, on May 3, 1943. She and Fred shared 35 wonderful years together until his passing on December 9, 1978. Of that union, seven siblings were born: Cornelia (Carol), Fred (Pete), Ann, Connie, Anita, Frederica and George.

Marion joined the Johnstown Independent Baptist Church and was baptized on January 7, 1979. She was a God-fearing woman.

In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hall, Jr., brothers James and Arthur Pledger, and sisters Della and Dorothy Pledger and Janie Lee Pledger Overton.

She is survived by her seven children: Carol (Willie) Crawford, Ann (Timothy) Valentine, Connie (Andre) Phillips, Anita (James) Mack, of Columbus, Ohio; Frederica H. Zabala of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and George (Sheri) Hall of Canal Winchester, Ohio; Fred (Patti) Hall III of Zenia, Ohio; ; One brother, George Pledger of Alexandria, Virginia and one sister, Catherine P. Bowser of Manteo, North Carolina, one sister-in law, Marian Pledger of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; 23 grandchildren: Lola, Marion Michelle, Kimberly, Stephanie, Rose Marian, Fred IV, Odos, Dame, Oyama, Enuyami, Kamal, LaShanna, Tiffany, William, Tasha, Anthony, J
