Mark Anthony Pollard, 53, of Columbus, Ohio, beloved father Marcello, Mark Jr. and Jordan, passed away peacefully surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for, and loved on May 8, 2013.
He was predeceased by his Father Eugene Pollard, Sr., Grand-parents Milton and Naomi Pollard; Thomas and Cora Walker.
Mark was born in Columbus, where he lived until he joined the US Army in 1978. He served his country honorably and was very proud of his service to his country. After his service to his country he returned to Columbus where he lived and spent his leisure time reading and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his loving memory are the mothers of his sons, Kennine Pollard and Nannette Evans, his mother Rosa Pollard, sisters Brenda (Daryl) Manns, Linda, Rossetta (James) Rhodes, Tina Randolph-Pollard, brothers, Eugene (Boonie), Jr., Kevin.

    Mark Pollard served in the US Army 11 year 6 months. 1st tour of 5 years as a systems installer. It was during this tour He met Gwendolyn Evans who is mother to 1st born son Marcello Dante. His last tour was in Germany he worked as units supply specialist and met wife Kennine DOBLAS @the 1st Armored Division iron soldier school. married February 24th 1989 in Denmark. had 2nd son Mark Pollard Jr in Germany honorably discharged from military to Ft Dix New Jersey where 3rd/last son Jordan Pollard was born. High school GED, and some college. Awards include: The army service ribbon,the NCO (noncommissioned officers) professional development ribbon,The national defense Service Medal, overseas service ribbon,recieved Good Conduct Medal twice & the army Achievement Medal. Mark's boys described him as; generous,compassionate, loving, proud,stubborn,
