Marlazia Lashonda Jones also known as “Tweety Bird” was born February 6, 1996 in Columbus, Ohio to Jack Mattox and Yvonda Jones. She was granted her angel wings on January 2, 2018. Her final days were spent counting down the days for the birth of her baby boy Markeith Kamar Jones-Mattox Williams.

Marlazia attended Youth Build Columbus Community School where she obtained her high school diploma and was currently employed with limited brands.

Marlazia enjoyed playing volley ball, running track, dancing, and fashion. She had dreams of being a model someday. She was also excited about becoming a mother to her baby boy Markeith.

Marlazia was a wonderful daughter, sister, niece, aunt, friend, and would have been a great mother. Everyone that knew her would say she had a heart of gold.

Marlazia is preceded in death by her grandmother, Annie Mae Mattox Pool Hairston; uncle, Bill; aunt, Letha; and Jason Mattox.

Marlazia leaves to cherish her precious memory with, son, Markeith Kamar Jones-Mattox Williams; parents, Jack (Tyra) Mattox and Yvonda Jones; siblings, Marshella Jones, Jayonna Jones, Marniqua Jones-Mattox, Adam Jones, Ty-lesha Hylton, Latonya Jones, Richard Jones, Tamika Jones, Regina Jones, Lakeisha Jones, and Lamar Brock; grandfather, Junior Thomas Mattox; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation 11 am and Funeral 12 noon Friday, January 12, 2018 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
