Mattie Sue Finch Hunter quietly slipped away with God on May 11, 2012, at Traditions at Stygler Road at the age of 89. She was born on April 23, 1923, to the late John and Fannie Finch. During her lifetime she worked at Lennox Industries, Swan Cleaners, and Madison’s Department Store, but she felt her greatest job was being a wife and mother. She attended Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith, God’s Grace Deliverance and New Covenant Believers’ Churches. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Othar; brothers; John Lewis, Harold, and Thomas, sisters; Regina, Louise, Esther, and Lula Belle, and great-grandson, Sidney Croom. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Diane (Larry) Milligan, grandchildren; Kezia (Dion Croom) Cook, and Anthony Milligan, great grandchildren; Dion Croom, Jr., Alexis Croom, Cedric Croom and Anthony Milligan-Ramos and a host of other relatives.
