Michael Shawn Watson passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 28th, 2011 from Congestive Heart Failure.

Michael was born on May 27, 1966 in Montgomery, West Virginia, the third child and youngest son of Mary Jones and the late Willie Watson. After relocating to Columbus in 1974, he began attending school at Highland Elementary, and eventually Westmoor Middle and West High Schools. Michael also attended Denby High School in Detroit, MI, where he participated in the ROTC program.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Willie Watson, step-mother Lillian Watson, and grandparents Frank L. and Marie Jones, and John and Anna Watson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving mother Mary Jones, brother Jeffrey (Linda) Watson, sisters Sharon Bridges and Tracey (Clarence) Tyree, step-daughter Asia, as well as ten nieces and nephews, and fifteen great-nieces and nephews. Michael also leaves behind a host of loving aunts, including special Aunt Eunice Jones, uncles, cousins, close family friends and special friend, Donna Johnson.
