Mortica Lee “Burton” Edwards, born December 2, 1965 in Columbus, Ohio to Bobby Gene and Arthelia Louise “Burton” Hague. Survived by parents Bobby and Louise of Ronda, NC, sisters April (James) Burton Grisby, Lovelena Hague, Danielle (Phillip) Taylor, Angie Bell, and brother Dexter Bell, all of Columbus, Ohio. Son, Jhuante Daniel Burton (Fiancee Bianca Williams), grandchildren, Jalaila Michelle Burton and Diego Gray, all of Columbus, Ohio. A special Godson Lawrence Burton and Goddaughter Rosetta “Booka” Mitchell, of Columbus, Ohio. A host of Aumts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Proceeded in death by brother, Robert Eugene Googa “Burton” Hague.

Mortica affectionately referred to as “Tisha” by her family and friends, graduated from Centennial High School then went onto Fort Hayes Career Center and received her STNA certificate. Mortica was very adventurous and loved to try new things. Mortica continued her education and became a travel agent only to land her later as a CDL Truck Driver. Mortica was always up for a challenge.

We know Tisha is resting in her Lord and Savior”s loving arms, she gave her life to the Lord as a young girl, then rededicated her life to Him as an adult in 2005. Tisha was a loving and caring person, always willing to open her home to someone in need of a place to stay.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Tuesday December 9, 2014 at Rhema Christian Center 2100 Agler Rd. Interment at Evergreen Burial Park
