Pastor Dr. H. Jay Scott Sr. , age 85. Sunrise April 23, 1932 in Live Oak, FL and Sunset July 24, 2017 in Columbus, OH.

Pastor Scott  was a Veteran of The U.S. Navy and retired from Galilee Baptist Church and DCSC.  He was the Past President of Baptist Pastors Conference, member of Ministerial Alliance and Christ Memorial Baptist Church.

Pastor was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Mary Etta Tatum Scott and siblings, Larcellus, Norman, Leroy, Benny, Willamae, Margaret, Thelma and Lethea.

Left to cherish his memory, wife of 60 years, Shirlee A. Judge Scott; sons, Michael (Alfie) Scott, Henry (Sharon) Scott Jr., Ron (Yolanda) Scott, Larcellus (Marisela) Scott, and Shannon (Ann) Scott; daughters, LeTheria Harrison, LaDreene Scott and Yolanda (Ron) Greggs; 25 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at 5:00pm and Home Going Services will begin at 6:00pm Sunday July 30, 2017 at Christ Memorial Baptist Church 3330 E. Livingston Ave.  Interment 10:00am Monday, July 31, 2017 at Union Cemetery.
