HOLMES,

Robert C. Holmes, Jr., 86. Sunrise December 14, 1926 and Sunset June 12, 2013. He was educated in the Columbus Public Schools, a U.S. Army Veteran of The Korean War, retired Plaster Contractor with Local 423, and a faithful member of Eliezer Church of Christ where he was a Willing Worker, doing whatever his hands could find to do. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Mae and Robert C. Holmes Sr., brother, Karl Holmes, sisters, Ruth Holmes, Maxine Prince Ellen Lumpkins and Emma Henderson. Left to cherish his memory, loving wife of 56 years Florence A. Holmes, daughter, Diane R. Evans, son, Michael A. Craig, sister Earsline Jones of Atlanta, Georgia, brothers in law John (Marion) Craig, Donald (Marilyn) Craig, and Stan (Jackie) Craig, sisters in law Shirley Malone, Bertha Nowell, and Lena (Donald) Johnson, 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 34 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
