Robin Lynn Byrd was born June 2, 1961. She attended Mifflin High School. She was employed by the Midland Building and Mattingly Building Maintenance. Robin received Christ and was baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church as a young teenager. Robin always knew who she was in the Lord and would tell anyone she was God's Child! Not only was she God's child she would let you know "I'm Robin Byrd Babe." As a child Robin would suck her town middle fingers and would hide under her Grandmother Anna Byrd's long dress while her sisters did their chores. Her birthday was always a national holiday and she would write the day on her co-workers calendars to remind them. Robin had a crazy sense of humor and was always the life of the party at any family celebration. When it came to telling a story no one did it better tan Robin because she had to act it out. She loved her clothes and shoes. She loved Christmas time and especially Christmas Eve. It was a family tradition to have a Christmas Eve party at a family member's home. Robin's mother Phyllis and her aunt Irma kept the tradition going for many years. Robin would have towels thrown at her because there was always at least one gift that made her cry like a baby. Robin had a heart that was tender and giving and she touched the life and heart of many people she met. At about 5 yeas old Robin learned a poem which she never forgot and neither did her sisters. For Christmas she recited the following poem to the delight of the church and her family:

I am just a little tiny tot
but my heart can love a lot
and so this Christmas day I bring,
all my love to Christ the King.

Robin set things right with her heavenly Father and made her exodus from this world to her new home on June 15, 2014. She was preceded in death by mother Phyllis M. Byrd. She will be missed by sisers, Cheryl A. Byrd, Mariko A. (Charles) Jones, and Ronda J. Byrd, brother Shawn Berry, nieces Timika M. Byrd, Nicole J. Jones, Shaquana M. Thomas and Shanell Berry, nephews Eric L. Byrd, Rick L. Byrd, Charles F. Jones Jr., Michael D. Cross, and Shawn D. Berry, great nephew Malaki Branham, family dog Oreo and a host of family and friends.

I cry for her loss but rejoice that she is now with our Heavenly Father – well and happy and waiting for all of us to join her. I am so glad to have known her. My sincere condolences to her family. I personally only knew Robin just under a year. My fellow smoking buddy during breaks here at the Midland building. But in that year her and all of her "es;Thicker than a Snicker's"es; or "es;Beyonce Body"es; truly left a HUGE impression on my heart. She will never be forgotten and I look forward to that day again when we meet in heaven and continue the laughter we once shared.

My sincerest condolences to her family. I send my love and prayers your way. With the good Lord by ourside we will see her again.
