BROWN,
Ronald (Ronnie) Brown
was born March 31, 1946 in Kapers, West Virginia to the late Eugene Brown and Esther Hudson Brown. Ronald (Ronnie) Brown was a, M14 Sharpshooter, Vietnam Veteran who served in the United States Army in Fort Dix, New Jersey before deployment to Vietnam. Upon completion of service he received an Overseas Service Bar, in addition to, The National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal and The Vietnam Campaign Medal. He resided in Cleveland, Ohio most of his life and moved to Columbus, Ohio to assist in the care of his beloved mother Esther Brown. He fulfilled his life-long dream, of owning a home, which he took great pride in. He leaves behind his best-friend and devoted companion Samson Brown (his dog). Ronald departed this life on December 31, 2014 at Mount Carmel Health hospital after a long term illness. Preceded in death by grandfather (Daniel D. Hudson, Jim Brown) and Grandmother (Lillie Hurd, Fannie McLench). Brothers Eugene (Bobby) Brown, Haskell Brown, Daughter Esther Brown, Brother In-law Dennis Gardener. Those left to cherish his memory include Sisters Beulah Gardener of Roanoke, VA, Betty J. (Warren) Maclin of Cleveland, OH, Brenda F. Jones of Columbus, OH, Mildred L. (John) Wilson Jr. of Columbus, OH. Including a host of Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces, Great Nephews and friends. Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Friday January 9, 2015 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE 2500 Cleveland Ave., Columbus, Ohio.
