Ruthie “McCoy” Butts, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in Columbus, Ohio. Ruthie was born October 27, 1936 in Fordyce, Arkansas to Britt and rosie McCoy.

Ruthie graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1955. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she served as an usher.

Ruthie moved to Ohio in 1960 and retired from Lucent Technologies with 30 years of service.

She is preceded in death by parent Britt and Rosie McCoy, sister Nancie Peters, and brother Rev. George McCoy.

Ruthie leaves to cherish her memory, sons Robert (Ruthie), Donald Britt (Alice), Keith E. (Sarah) Butts, and Freddy (Lennette) Burst, daughter Rosie Williams, 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
