Shirley Mae (Spain) Garrison went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 19th 2010. She was born September 5th 1935, in Marysville, Ohio to the late Wilson and Helen Spain. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years Aubry A. “Gary” Garrison,Sr. Shirley resided at Friendship Village in Columbus, Ohio formerly of Trinity, North Carolina. She is survived by her sister Susan (John) MacIvor of Marysville, Ohio; daughter, Teresa Thompson of Grove City, Ohio; daughter, Kathy Kleiber of Cloumbus, Ohio; daughter, Christy Kleiber of Athens, Ohio; son, Timothy (Lisa) Garrison of Brooksville, Florida; stepchildren, Aubry “JR” (Mary) Garrison of East Liberty,Ohio, Gregory (Gloria) Garrison of Cloumbus, Ohio, Mitchell Garrison of Zanesfield, Ohio, and Candace (David) Frangis of Zanesfield,Ohio, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a niece and a nephew.

Shirley grew up in Marysville where she graduated in 1954. She was a long time employee of International Harvestor as a secretary. She married her late husband “Gary” in 1972. They retired to Florida in 1985, enjoying fishing and sporting events. The couple later moved to Trinity, North Carolina. Shirley and “Gary” became active memebers in Poplar Ridge Friends Church. Shirley enjoyed arranging flowers, gardening, and singing in the choir. Shirley also enjoyed traveling as well as spending time with her chldren, grandchilren, and greatgrandchildren.

Shirley will be received in heaven by her late husb and parents and numerous family members. She will be missed by her family and many friends. Their will great rejoicing there and many tears here.
