Stewart Owen Smith, age 67. He was born June 18, 1946 in Northfolk, WV to the late George H. and Doris R. Smith. He peacefully entered his new life on May 28, 2014.

Stewart was a graduate of Elkhorn High School where he was inducted into the National Honor Society. after high school he enlisted into the Army where he served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He also served in the West Virginia Army National Guard. Upon his first Honorable Discharge, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Cleopatra W. Ramsey on May 30, 1969 in Virginia. Stewart went onto further his education at Bluefield State College where he earned an Associates Degree in Accounting. Stewart was a faithful employee of Keystone Coal Company in Keystone, WV. Stewart accepted Christ as a young man in 1977 and was a lifelong member of Mask's Chapel Church of God in Vivian West Virginia. Stewart entered the Army for a second time and served faithfully for 27 years, where he worked and live in New Jersey until retirement. Stewart then relocated to Columbus where he worked for Techna Glass. Many would call him Sarge or Smitty. He was known to be happy, kind, gentle and loving. He enjoyed Ballroom Dancing and was an avid Trekkie.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, brother Stevie Smith and grandchildren Janeia Smith and Anthony Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife Cleopatra W. (Ramsey) Smith of 45 years, 3 sons Stewart Deon (Darrilyn) Smith, Keith (Heidi) Smith, and Kevin (Carlita) Smith, 1 daughter Kimberly L. Smith Johnson, his siblings, Michael, Clifford, Denis adn Leslie Smith. Stewart was blessed to have 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, in- laws and friends.
