Victor W. Ross, Sr., 52. Sunrise October 15, 1960 in Elyria, Ohio and Sunset August 17, 2013 in Columbus, Ohio. Victor was a Transportation Specialist at National Church Residency. He was a member of Triedstone Baptist Church where he served as Church Percussionist. He was also active with UJIMA Theater Co. and Verde Theater Co. Victor was preceded in death by his parents Tommie Lee Ross and Lou Ella Beamon Ross. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Judith M. Ross, son Victor W. Ross II, daughter Chanler Marie Ross, brothers Willie (Carolyn) Beamon of Salemburg, NC and Frederick Ross of Elyria, OH, sisters Lillian Ross of Elyria, OH and Cynthia Ross of Detroit, MI, grandchildren Nigel Dwayne Davidson and Chandler Zane Ross, father in law David Harrison and mother in law Arulene Harrison and a host of other relatives and friends.

    God, in his infinite wisdom, has seen fit to move from our midst our beloved Victor Ross, by means of death on Saturday, August 17, 2013. We respect and acknowledge God’s decision by being here tonight to celebrate Victor’s life. We have come together to pay our respects to the memory of one whose life was full of love and has now ended on this earth. We believe it has pleased the Lord to take Victor to his reward.

    WHEREAS Victor Ross was a child of the Most High God and demonstrated throughout his life a sincere love for and obedience to God.

    WHEREAS Victor Ross lived a major part of his life in the Cincinnati, Ohio, area and was much loved by many.

    WHEREAS Victor Ross was a faithful and fun loving member of the Voices of Charity as an up and coming drummer, under the direction of Donald Lawrence

    WHEREAS Victor Ross was also a member in good standing of the Hanarobi Contemporary Gospel Ensemble of the University of Cincinnati.

    WHEREAS Victor Ross was a member and drummer for the Fellowship Interdenominational Chorale, better known as FIC, where he met his wife, Judy.

    WHEREAS Victor Ross was a member and drummer at the St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. Floyd Brown.

    WHEREAS our brother in Christ, Victor Ross, loved to play his praises through his percussion instruments and was always offering encouraging words to many who were downtrodden.

    WHEREAS Victor Ross was known, admired and loved by many in the Cincinnati, Ohio and surrounding area.

    WHEREAS we the people of Cincinnati and the surrounding area want it to be known that Victor Ross’ passing has left us deeply saddened and he will be missed but not forgotten.

    WHEREAS, the words of Jesus in Revelation 14:13 “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours and their works will follow them.

    WHEREAS Victor Ross was a husband, a father, a brother, a mentor and a close friend.

    THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that we embrace the family to show our support and love in this difficult time.

    BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Victor Ross will always be a part of our lives and his legacy will continue.

  8. i managed victor in little league along with my son artie. he was great kid & easy to coach.he was very well behaved & a good athlete.my wife & i enjoyed knowing him as a young man.may he rest in peace amen.

    I remember when you were just a little tike and in church they would ask if anybody had any song they wanted to sing. you would raise your little hand every sunday and sing hush somebody is calling my name. I was so proud when we went on an outing at school and some how you got a hold of that mike. you were so little but you turned the whole place out when you sang jeremiah was a bull frog. i was really gushing with pride. my dear cousin i know you are cheesin ear to ear and in awe by God's amazing presence. yes someone is calling your name. It is good to know that you are safely home.

  16. I was so sorry to hear of Victors passing, and I would like to extend my deepest condolences on behalf of the entire management and staff. Victor was a respected member of our team and he will be sadly missed by all of us who knew and worked with him.
    Victor set the standard for our company. He gave solid dedication to service and his devotion our clients.
    Victor, always went that extra mile, with a great attitude and winning smile.
