Walter Edward Cunningham 65, born March 8, 1951 through the union of Richard G. Sr. and Willie S. Cunningham in Columbus, Ohio. He passed away Monday October 3, 2016 at his residence. Walter is proceeded in death by his father Richard G. Cunningham Sr., Brothers; Richard Cunningham Jr., David Cunningham and Jerome A. Cunningham. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Willie S. Cunningham, brothers Max Smith and Alex M. Cunningham, sister Marjorie Myers, Sons Jerrard Hill and Edward Hill, daughter Stacy Hill, seven grandchildren, longtime close family friend Terrance K. Owens and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Walter graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1969. He furthered his education and obtained an Associates Degree. For many years Walter worked as a team leader for CAMACO. He loved his family, evident by his constant encouragements. He enjoyed going to the race tracks, watching sports and playing Chess. Walter was very civic minded and opinionated on all things pertaining to governmental issues. He sought the good in every situation and freely shared words of encouragement. He will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.

    I am so sorry to hear of your loss and would like to extend my condolences. Death was never a part of God’s original plan and he has promised to eliminate death forever.
