Willie B. Draughon, 74. Sunrise February 25, 1939 in Dunn, NC and Sunset January 7, 2014. Willie retired from Capital University as Superintendent of Maintenance after 40 years of service. He was a member of Gospel Tabernacle United Holiness Church of America where he served God and the church in many capacities. He was also a member of The White Castle Club Alum Creek and 5th Ave. Locations. Willie was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Eddie and Avetta Draughon, sisters Ruthella Womack, Christella Woody, “Odell Draughon, Barbara Draughon and Rose Greene, and brothers Eddie “Buck” Draughon, Velton Draughon, Charlie Henry Draughon and James “JD” Draughon. Left to cherish his memory are, wife Beverly S. Draughon, daughter Delphine Judy (Gregory) Cooper, sons Willie Bernard Draughon, David Wayne Draughon, Maurice Darryl (Bev) Draughon, Duane Van (Isabel) Draughon and Andrew Wayne Draughon, stepson Tommy Battle, sister Marjorie (Walter) Roberts, brothers Russell (Dalene) Draughon, Joseph Draughon, Johnny (Evelyn) Draughon and Roy (Vanessa) Draughon Sr., 23 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
