scott

Born on Wednesday, November 29th, 1989 and ascended to heaven on Tuesday, April 20th, 2021. He is survived by his parents, Steven and Pamela Scott (Reynoldsburg, OH), siblings, Mariah (Brooklyn, NY) and David (Reynoldsburg, OH) Scott, nephew, Daniel Scott (Reynoldsburg, OH), and niece, Bri’lyn Scott (Reynoldsburg, OH).

Darrell was a selfless young man with a quiet, gentle spirit. He was a loving son, devoted big brother and dependable friend.

Darrell graduated from Reynoldsburg High School, class of 2007, and attended Toledo University for a short time. His work experiences were in the logistics industry at companies such as Amazon, FedEx and Walmart in Columbus, OH and BMW in Spartanburg, SC.

Darrell truly loved the game of football and basketball. Whether he was playing on the field/court or playing fantasy football with his friends, sports was always a topic of discussion. He excelled in the game of football since the age of six playing with the Gahanna Youth Football League, Mifflin Sharks, Reynoldsburg Youth Football League and Reynoldsburg’s Middle/High School Football Team. His favorite teams were the Los Angeles Lakers, Tennessee Titians and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

You know the character of a young man by the people that surround him. Darrell had a strong supportive family that included many aunts, uncles, cousins and a great group of friends that turned into brothers. Darrell valued his family and friendships always checking-in to make sure everyone was happy. He was known by “Uncle D” to his nephew and niece, and was often heard teaching his nephew, Daniel, about life through video games or sports.

Although his time here on earth ended too soon, Darrell’s spirit had an impact on all that he met. Thank you, Darrell, for the life and love you shared with us. We love you and you will live within us forever.

Visitation 8:00 AM and Funeral Service 9:00 AM Friday, April 30, 2021 at City of Grace Church, 3350 Allegheny Ave. Due to COVID limited seating and MANDATORY MASK. Interment at Union Cemetery Association. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
