Paul Montrose Jackson

Nascar

Paul Montrose Jackson, age 65. Sunrise October 12, 1956 and Sunset August 24, 2022.

Paul Montrose Jackson made his transition to glory on August 24, 2022. Paul was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 12, 1956, to Montrose and Barbara Jean Jackson who preceded him in death.

Paul grew up in the Key Square-Southfield area of Columbus and graduated from Marion-Franklin High School in the class of 1975.

Growing up Paul played little league football with the Panthers and was the star running back of the team.
Paul was an avid Nascar Race enthusiast. He enjoyed watching all the races with his cousin Bobby and attending when he could. If a race was on, everything else was off, including the phone!

He loved the Funk genre of music. Everyone that knew Paul knew he was a P-Funk fan (George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic) and he would never let you “fake the funk”.

Paul was employed with Timken Company after he graduated high school. He also worked as a laborer installing shelving in new Walmart stores throughout the United States. He had his own lawn care and painting business and served many people throughout the Key Square and Southfield community.

Paul received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized on September 3, 2013, and was a faithful member of Kingdom Power Baptist Church where he proudly served as an usher and in other areas when called upon.

Paul was a loving caregiver to our Mother during her illness and when she transitioned he was a caregiver to our Father until his transition last month. It wasn’t easy for Paul but he endeavored to do his best even after his own health became fragile. Paul loved his family especially his nieces and nephews and they loved their Uncle Paul.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted sister: Kim Robinson; his brother David “Stevie” Jackson; his nieces, Tiana (Kevin Fisher) Boozer, Kelly (Terrell) Howell; his nephew David (Joi) Griffin; his great-nieces, Tanae Fisher, Kennedi Fisher; his great-nephew Kyree Fisher; great-nieces Tori Howell, Taylee Howell, Taylor Griffin and Taylen Griffin; his aunt Beulah Granger; his uncle Nathaniel Pearson and a host of cousins and lifelong friends.
