Davetti Charles Krug II, age 27, was born on May 8, 1995, to Davetti and Tammy Krug at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Davetti accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of the Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church, where for many years he could be found working alongside his great aunt, Nancy Wade in the Children’s Nursery.

Davetti was a 2014 graduate of The Early College Academy. Prior to attending ECA, Davetti attended Centennial High School and Whitehall Yearling High School. After graduation, Davetti attended Miles College in Birmingham, Alabama, where he majored in Business. In 2021, Davetti relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida, where he was employed at Safe Ship Moving Services as a Senior Moving Broker.

Davetti loved playing sports. At age four, he started playing football for the Columbus Cougars and basketball for Barnett Recreation Center. Davetti continued to play basketball through high school while also playing AAU basketball for Team Truth under the guidance of Coach Roosevelt Osborne. Although he no longer played basketball in a team setting, Davetti continued to hoop and dominate basketball courts at every opportunity. Davetti was gentle, kind, and loving. He would help anyone in need. He was well known for his charismatic and outgoing personality, his basketball skills, and his big smile that spread across his entire face and would light up an entire room. Davetti was the life of every function he attended, constantly joking and making others laugh and smile. In as much as he was funny, he was also that young man that would take the time to support and encourage others. Davetti was a loving father, brother, and son. Davetti’s greatest accomplishment and gift to his Mom and Dad was his son Khristian. Family was everything to Davetti, and although he no longer lived in Columbus, he spoke to his family almost daily, and continued to spend time with them whenever he could.
