Mr. Kenneth Z. Spencer

Kenneth Z. Spencer departed this earth and peacefully entered heaven at the age of 64 years old on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Kenneth Z. Spencer was born on March 6, 1958, to Zeb Spencer Jr., and Doris M. Spencer in Columbus, Ohio.

Kenny received his early education at Sullivan Elementary School, Starling Junior High School and in 1975, graduated from Central High School. Kenny played football and wrestled while attending. Central High School. After high school Kenny attended Central State University.

Kenny had a distinguished career at the Ohio State University Plumbers Facility Department and retired, December 2021 after 32 years of service.

Kenny was involved in the community as a Head Coach for the Brittany Hill Jaguars youth football league and was always available to give a helping hand to family and friends when needed. Kenny’s favorite pass time was watching all sports, but his favorite teams were the Cleveland Browns and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Kenny was a devoted husband, father, son, grandfather and uncle.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Seneca V. Lawson Spencer, three granddaughters; Kenyonna, Kemya and Lavaya Lawson, two sisters; Barbara Spencer Johnson and Christine Milk, two brothers; Gregory Spencer and Troy Spencer, sister-in-law; Adrienne Lawson (Shelly), brothers-in-law; Rena Lawson, Kevin (Kathy) Lawson, Carlton (Kathy) Lawson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave. Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.     I’m really sorry to hear about Kenny’s passing. I worked with him a Ohio State in the same shop for a couple of years. Kenny taught me so much about plumbing and life while I was there. I still can recall the laughs and jokes we use to have in Hagerty hall about his germophibia. RIP Kenny. My condolences to his family and friends.
