Kim R. Johnson Bell

Kim Renee Johnson Bell passed peacefully from this life the afternoon of February 22, 2023 after a gradual decline in health. Kim was surrounded and supported by her loving husband Charlie, friends and caregivers during the last days of her life. Kim had many stays at Mount Carmel East Hospital during her periods of crisis. She continued to fight and she rarely complained.

Kim was blessed by God with a daughter and a son who she absolutely adored and she was grateful to have seen grow and become thriving adults.

On February 22, 2023 God called his child home. Kim was preceded in death by her long time friend and trusted four legged fur baby; Ralph (Yorkshire Terrier), mother; Margaret L. Counts, father; Will Buddy Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband; Charles “Charlie” Bell, daughter; Yasmine Johnson Rice, son Donald “Donnie” Johnson, two grandchildren; Dante Johnson Rice and Teton Davenport, stepdaughter; Dawn Lemmon-Thomas and children, fur babies; Tiffany, Dirty Redd, Brindle, Toby, Scooby and Roscoe, home girl; Nancy and Stan and good friends; Minnie and Pam as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Kim will truly be missed for her humbled free spirit and her infectious smile that could light up any room she walked in, from the way she decorated her home for the holidays to her amazing green thumb, and the way she would fuss at Charlie because he took the longest in joy to Kim. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily routine.
Though she is gone now, her memory will be with us forever.

Visitation for Kim will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 9:00 AM at the Marlan J. Gary Funeral Home, The Chapel of Peace North, located at 2500 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, OH. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at the Evergreen Burial Park.
