Alexis Sadé Harvey-Jones, age 26 also known as Lex or Lexi, was born Sunrise on Wednesday, June 5, 1996, and Sunset on April 30, 2023.

Alexis always approached things at her own pace, which was apparent when it took two days for her delivery. She had a sweet disposition from the start and was soft-spoken. Alexis loved spending time outdoors, and making friends came naturally to her, even as a youngster. Her easygoing nature was evident early on.

During her early adolescent years, Lexi was very outgoing and athletic. You could hear her sing the Cheetah Girls soundtrack with friends at her elementary school. You could watch her on the basketball court in Middle School. You could also cheer her on as she jumped hurdles. Alexis tried out track and field with success, but her true joy was basketball, which she continued to play casually.

As a young woman, Alexis developed a strong appreciation for the arts. She has always been an avid reader and enjoys spoken word, music, and film. In addition, she became an anime enthusiast.

After graduating high school in 2014, Alexis studied Mass Communications at Wilberforce University. In 2017, she transferred to Georgia State University as a Film and Media Studies major. While enrolled at GSU, she attended The Production Assistant Academy of the Atlanta Film Society to enhance her educational experience. She also interned as a photographer at Atlanta Fashion Week. During her senior year, she lived in an apartment on Atlanta’s Westside for over a year. Alexis graduated from GSU in the Summer of 2020. Outside of her academic and professional life, Alexis loved exploring Atlanta’s food scene, frequenting nightclubs, visiting parks, and attending festivals. She always enjoyed good food, music, and company.

Due to the pandemic, Alexis moved back home to Columbus, Ohio. Once home, she worked a daytime and evening job throughout the week. Alexis became a Professional Adult Care Provider and a Lead Counselor for children. While working as a Lead Counselor she was able to put her media skills to use as well through photography and creating a newsletter.

In 2022, unfortunately, Alexis was diagnosed with bone cancer, Ewing’s Sarcoma. Despite her diagnosis, she continued to travel, remain positive, and inspire others.

She returned to places she enjoyed and new locations, Puerto Rico and Baltimore. Before transitioning, Alexis also acquired her passport to plan a trip to Mexico.

Alexis documented her journey on Tik Tok, inspiring over 40,000 followers, as she documented her journey and faith in God, praising him and lifting his name in faith.

On Sunday, April 30, 2023, God called Alexis’s home and welcomed her with eternal peace. Even on the morning of April 30th, she expressed continuing her fight in the comfort of her own home.

Her strength and willpower were truly not of this world.

Her body couldn’t keep up with her spirit. Alexis undoubtedly was a spiritual being going through a physical experience. Though her physical self-did not overcome cancer and the issues that come with it – her spirit did! Nothing could take her joy nor shake her faith. She now rests in peace without worldly problems.
Said best- 2 Timothy 4:7 – I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Let her walk of faith be an example to us all.
