Alford E. McGhee was born December 18, 1953 in Kimball, WV to the late Jack C. and Helen K. McGhee. He departed this on Tuesday, July 17, 2019 in Columbus, OH.

Alford was a member of New Shiloh Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church. He served on the usher board and was a member of the choir. He served as a cook (his passion) up until the time of his illness. He received his education in the West Virginia School system.

Alford is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Helen McGhee; and sister, Yvonne McGhee.

Alford leaves to cherish his memory, brother, Erskine (Sabrina) McGhee; sisters, Darlene Dean and Diana McGhee; nephews, Richard, Curtis, Erskine Jr, Rapheal (Courtnei), and Branden; nieces, Shavonne, Ja’Nota, Denise (Ayuba), Denita (Todd), Faatimah; 13 great nephews; 14 great nieces; and a host of other family members and friends.

Alford will be truly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Visitation 6:00pm and Funeral 7:00pm Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment 10:00am Wednesday at Eastlawn Cemetery.
