My sweet, sweet, dear Miss Alice! Used to work w/her at Head Start – she was such a wonderful person! So devoted to her children and family – but mostly to God. She was such a calming force for us all – so wise and kind, gentle and generous. I’ve not spoken to or of her in ages, but will always consider her to be a friend – and mentor to me. RIP my sweet Miss Alice! And worry not about your children and family – you will be w/them always, and they will be consoled by your presence. Love you Miss Alice Mae.

I’m so saddened to learn of Alice’s passing. I met her in 1982, when she worked in the Records Dept @ Franklin Village. She was a hard worker, but it was fun to be around her. She stifled her laugh, but you could tell that it came from deep within. We talked about our kids, as they were about the same age. She loved them dearly. She was a true Christian. When FCCS was relocated to the downtown are, I lost track of her. Sadly, I haven’t seen her in many years. I retired in August 2007. My sincere sympathy to her entire family and friends. Just a great lady!
