Amara Jones entered the arms of Jesus on January 10, 2023. Amara was born to parents Steve and Camika Jones on July 25, 1998 in Columbus, Ohio.

She was a laughing, bright smiling, chocolate bundle of joy who brightened the whole room even at her birth. She touched everyone’s life even at an early age.

She graduated from Licking Heights High School in 2016. She further pursued her education and became a nurse which was her passion. She worked at Friendship Village of Dublin Assisted Living, where she devoted herself to the care of her patients.

She was known to her family, friends and coworkers as an outgoing, bubbly, and energetic person. She was funny and kind to everyone she knew. Her favorite activities were spending time with her sister Taylor, watching movies, (favorite movie, all of the Jurassic Park series), enjoying good food, bowling and family gatherings.

Her lifelong dream was to be a nurse practitioner and if you spent any time around her, you knew she always put others before herself, not thinking twice about helping those in need.

Amara accepted the Lord as her personal savior at an early age. She was so excited about her new journey with the Lord, and serving God’s people as a nurse for those who were hurting. Her heart went out to those no one else recognized.

Her laughter and presence filled the room, where ever she went. She was such a giving and caring person and known for taking care of each and every family member if anything was needed, responding to each member at a moment’s notice, never hesitating or passing judgment. She said every life was important to God and mattered.

A Tribute to Amara; a life cut short.

One certainty of life, is death; and we do not grieve as those without hope. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 reminds us “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. So today we are giving thanks for the life of our beloved, Amara Nicole. A life unfulfilled, potentials unknown, greatness unexplored, joy unspeakable with glory unknown. A look at the Jones’ Family Reunion Book depicts signs of love beyond measure and a happiness that will last forever. We never expected Amara to leave us so soon, or that her full potential would not be discovered; but God in His wisdom knows why. We lift you up in prayer and ask for comfort and support during the days, months and years to come. Be assured that we are here for the now as well as the long-term and we look forward with anticipation to see justice employed for her tragic, unexpected and senseless death. We are reminded of the hymn that says,” through all the changing scenes of life, in trouble and in joy; the praises of my God shall still, my heart and tongue employ.” So, let’s keep hope alive for God has promised, He will not leave us nor forsake us; our joy, your joy is yet to come.
May the precious soul of Amara Nicole, Rest in Eternal Peace.
