Cofield copy 1

Anderson Cofield was born January 16, 1951 in Barnesville, GA to Andrew J. Cofield and Minnie G. Cofield.

His father retired from the military in Columbus, Ohio which is where Anderson finished his high school years, graduating from Columbus Central High School in 1969.

He followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the United States Air Force (USAF). He met the lovely Donna Nelson and they married in 1976 and he returned to Columbus with his family after he retired from the USAF at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, NV in 1990. He made his transition into Heaven on March 24, 2023.

After retiring from the Air Force, Anderson worked for Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center as a supervisor. After leaving this position, he worked for Swift Transportation as an OTR truck driver which had him driving to various states up and down the east coast.

Anderson and Donna loved camping, playing with their beagle Misty and being around family before the untimely passing of his beloved Donna in January 2005. Anderson was a great son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend. He loved the Lord and he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

We love Anderson, we miss him, but we are comforted knowing he is with our Lord.

Anderson is preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Donna, father; Andrew J. Cofield, step-daughter; Shantel Grigsby-DeCoux, step-son; Dashay Coleman, brother; Donald Cofield and sister-in-law; Catherine Cofield.
